As many of you may already know, people who downloaded the digital pre-order of Grand Theft Auto V through the PlayStation Store in Europe earlier this week were able to access certain game assets and have been leaking information and media from the game online. We are deeply disappointed by leaks and spoilers being spread in advance of the game’s launch, and would greatly appreciate the fan site communities’ help in combating the proliferation of these leaks and spoilers online.

We have worked on the game for years and to see it dismantled piecemeal like this and spoiled for curious fans is heartbreaking for us. We are desperately trying to make sure as many as possible can experience the game as we intended and really need your help in this. Please be vigilant in monitoring your respective sites and do not hesitate to send us links to anyone you find out there spreading this stuff.

As always, we deeply appreciate your cooperation in this matter and we hope you’re looking forward to September 17th as much as we are. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact us at webmaster@rockstargames.com.

Thanks,

Webmaster@R*
